Deputy Speaker, the Committee placed an advertisement in two national newspapers on Monday, 6th May 2025, inviting public memoranda, in compliance with Article 118(1)(b) of our Constitution, Section 8(3) of Treaty Making and Ratification Act and Standing Order 170A. While no memorandum was received by the deadline, the Committee convened a stakeholders consultation meeting on Thursday, 29th May 2025, at Radisson Blu Hotel with representatives from the State Department for the Blue Economy and Fisheries, the office of the Attorney-General, the State Department for Foreign Affairs, the Kenya International Boundaries Office and the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Africa."
