"content": " Thank you, Hon. Temporary Speaker. Learned friends have talked about the anatomy and physiology of the sea and its boundaries. I just want to say that in a global village, some households are bigger than others. This Treaty is trying to bring order to the global village. You cannot conduct business if there is no legal framework that protects the small ones and guides the greatest. The Treaty also addresses capacity building, technology transfer and knowledge sharing. We will benefit from this Treaty. Together, we can address the challenges of the sea. Without regulation, those with advanced technologies and big machines will scoop everything from our waters. If uncontrolled, they will take away all our marine resources and we will not be able to do anything. Environmental sensitivity has been well spoken about. We have a share on this. This Treaty will bring everybody to order so that we can protect our environment. Who wants to be exploited or caught in conflict with big powers? One vital aspect of this Treaty is that it allows us to tap into funds that can help us as a small nation. I support the Treaty in full. Thank you, Hon. Temporary Speaker."
