Professor Ngũgĩ wa Thiong'o was one of the true nationalists we had in this country during the struggle for our Independence against the colonizers of this country. Colonization came in several ways. There was colonization of the mind, which was cultural colonization. There was political colonization and there was economic colonization. He fought against all these.
