On 28th January, 2009, Mr. Bahari sought a Ministerial Statement from the Minister for Finance regarding the global financial crisis. In particular, the hon. Member wanted to know the likely adverse effect of the global financial crisis on the Kenyan economy and the steps the Ministry is taking to shield Kenyans against such effects.
