    "content": "This global financial crisis was triggered primarily by excessive lending in the housing market in the United States of America without due regard to borrowers' ability to service the mortgages and in an environment characterised by little or no regulation. When interest rates started to rise, many borrowers could not afford the adjusted mortgage repayments.
