    "content": "Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, in response to Mr. Wamalwa, in response to matters raised before this House, in response to issues raised by farmers, the Government undertook to buy maize at Kshs2,300. The reason why there has been a small hitch is because of the documentation between the Treasury, which was supposed to release the money, the Ministry of State for Special Programmes and the National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB). I want to assure the House that we had a final meeting last evening and from this morning, the farmers have been paid the new price and they are delivering their produce to the NCPB."
