    "content": "Marakwet District:- The first one is Tot Project. The project was initiated in 1982 to encourage and assist the community to grow food crops to alleviate famine situation. It covers 120 acres of land from which 80 households benefited each getting one acre to grow dry land high breed seed maize and sell it to seed companies. The project continued successfully until the escalation of insecurity in the area; that is, cattle rustling and clan conflicts that interrupted its progress."
