    "content": "Secondly, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, as an hon. Member has just said, there are other monies that come to our local authorities. I want to thank the Government for providing support in terms of Local Authorities Transfer Fund (LATF) and other funds. But if the councillors are not paid, there is every temptation that, that money could be diverted to serve other purposes. So, in order to reduce the temptation, let us see how our councillors can be paid directly from the Consolidated Fund, so that they can be able to discharge their duties as they should."
