    "content": "Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, the cost of inputs has been increasing, and it is the business of the Kenya Tea Development Agency (KTDA) to purchase farm inputs, particularly the fertilizer. It is the business of the KTDA to transport the tea from the factory to the godowns, and finally have it auctioned. As the price of inputs goes up, the prices of tea, particularly for the small-scale farmers has been going down and, therefore, the earnings have been diminishing."
