    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, Lake Turkana covers an area of 7,560 square kilometres. The 6 per cent of Lake Victoria that belongs to Kenya is only 4,260 square kilometres. The amount that is going into developing Lake Victoria is enormous, compared to nothing that the Minister allocates to Lake Turkana. I would like to request the Minister to set aside some money in the next financial year to support either the development of an authority or for the Lake Turkana development plans to ensure that our fishermen exploit that natural resource properly."
