"content": "judge of the Court of Appeal, being appointed to the International Criminal Court (ICC). We have to be judged by international standards in many respects. This is not only by virtue of that appointment but also by the fact that we are already a party to the Rome Statute. Indeed, even before the drafting of the statute for the special tribunal, we should have had in place an International Crimes Bill that recognises the ICC. This would enable international crimes to be tried and punished in Kenya. That legislation, however, has already been passed by this Parliament."
