Ruteere has complied with the provisions of Standing Order No.20, and in particular paragraph 2, in as much as he gave sufficient notice to the Chair and it is apparent that he has the necessary support from the House. This matter, notwithstanding the Minister having made a fairly lengthy Ministerial Statement yesterday, has continued to attract a lot of public interest. It, therefore, qualifies to be a matter of definite urgent national interest. I grant adjournment for this matter to come up at 5.00 p.m. today."
