    "content": "Thank you, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, for giving me this opportunity to contribute to this very important Bill. I would like to request this House to pass this Bill as quickly as possible. This Bill is long overdue. We all know that our country has about 550 kilometres of sea frontage. Kenya is one of the largest maritime nations, but we have nothing to show for it because of lack of proper laws. It is appropriate that the Minister has brought this Bill before the House so that we can play our role as a maritime nation."
