The courses that are offered in Bandari College are relegated almost to a third place, because they are not recognised by the International Maritime Organisation (IMO), because we have not passed this Bill. If this Bill is passed, this country will go a long way in playing its rightful role as a maritime nation. The Bill is very important, and so the lack of it has drawn back this nation, especially the control of shipping activities in the port of Mombasa."
