    "content": "Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, under the current Central Depository Act, the Capital Markets Authority is mainly empowered to approve as opposed to license a central depository. The central depository is required to adequately ensure its operations and systems cover loses or damages that may arise from trading activities. In order to strengthen accountability and reporting structures in line with also what hon. Mungatana was just mentioning earlier, there is need to impose a more detailed annual reporting requirement on central depositories in line with the obligations imposed on similar market intermediaries."
