The purpose of his visit was to assist his son who is based in the United States of America (USA) to verify the authenticity of an alleged mining company that had contracted him through the internet offering to sell him gold dust. Representatives of the alleged company met him at the airport in Conakry on 1st October, 2008. They, however, turned out to be kidnappers who had used the promise of a good business deal as bait."
