(a) I am not aware that there is an escalation of insecurity in Ndaragwa, though there have been some isolated reports of crime within Ndaragwa area, especially along the Ndaragwa-Nyeri Highway. (b) The police have already intensified both foot and mobile patrols along the highway, assisted by a police patrol vehicle that has been assigned to that area. Ambushes are also laid in areas where motorists are known to fall victim to highway robbers. The police are also working closely with the public to eliminate criminal elements residing amongst them."
