    "content": "Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, I want to assure hon. Members that we are very serious about the lives of Kenyans. But I just want him to recall that we voted in a budget of about Kshs23 billion for the Ministry of Medical Services, which is already pre- budgeted. It will be an act of disrespect for this Parliament for me to give assurance that I am going to do something I cannot do. That money is already planned for. I am being honest and sincere to this House that we have embarked, not only on that one district hospital, but on several other hospitals within our MTEF. It will be in a three-year period. Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, we hope that this House will allocate more money to the health budget. But for now, with the resources that are in, we think that in a period of three years, we should be able to equip and do better than what we have. In the meantime, hon. Members can also assist us in terms of chipping in from the Constituencies Development Fund (CDF) kitty. It will go a long way towards helping us bridge the health gap in terms of the budgeting.
