    "content": " Mr. Speaker, Sir, I beg to reply. (a) My Ministry is in the process of financing the development of Gakoromone Market to the tune of Kshs150 million. A total of 938 sheds will be constructed. The issue of open spaces will also be addressed. Paved open-air market which consists of 280 sheds, which will accommodate up to 800 traders will also be constructed. (b) The re-directing of rain water and floods from up-town to the stream north of the market will be addressed by the local authority and instructions have already been given. Laying of over 600-diameter pipes covering a total of 500 metres will solve the problem of pollution and flooding. The council is looking for ways of financing the project because we want to take our efforts to the market. This is a very important market. It is a shame that it is in this kind of a condition."
