    "content": "Mr. Temporary Deputy Chairman, Sir, I beg to move:- THAT Clause 71 of the Bill be amended- (a) by deleting Subclause (1) and substituting therefor the following new subclause- (1) A Sacco society that, at the commencement of this Act, is carrying out deposit- taking business to which this Act applies shall, within twelve months from the date of commencement, or such shorter period as the Minister may, by notice in the November 13, 2008 PARLIAMENTARY DEBATES 3507 Kenya Gazette prescribe, apply for a licence under this Act\"; (b) by deleting Subclause (2); (c) by deleting Subclause (3); (d) by deleting Subclause (4); (e) by deleting Subclause (5)."
