    "content": "Thank you, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. I know I have a couple of minutes. Therefore, I will go straight to my point. First of all, I rise to support this Motion. I would like to say that this Motion provides us with a unique opportunity to really examine the system of governance that we want in this country. When you have a parliamentary system, you have an opportunity to bring the Executive to account. If we say that Parliament will have a unique fixed term, what happens to that opporutunity? I think this Motion will give us an excellent opportunity to examine whether we wish to stay with a combination of a parliamentary and presidential systems, or whether we want to opt for a different system. We want to examine whether the checks and balances are working. It is in my view that we could have worked better. Allowing the hon. Member to bring a Bill to this House will provide us with an excelent opportunity. Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I want to add my voice to those who have spoken before me and say that we must take the opportunity to deal with the comprehensive constitutional review. That is what we promised this country. It is not just an isue of promise. That is what will build a platform for us to move this country into the future. The idea of a fixed calendar for Parliament must certainly be considereed alongside the question of whether, in the future, the Government will be drawn from this House or not. I think that those are very significant issues that we must deal with, look at the systems in the world and ask ourselves: What will work for this great nation. Therefore, I wish to support."
