Member to know that this Minister intends to actually do an overhaul of this department because it is possible to convert this country to the Las Vegas of Africa. In the last two years, the money that the Kenya Charity Sweepstake was able to give as good cause money was Kshs87,277,406. About the same time, before they stopped operations, the First Lotto Limited gave Kshs13,404,000. This goes to show that if the Government puts its act together through this department, we can raise a lot of money for instance to support, through sporting lottery, our football teams and other causes. We intend to go to great lengths to revitalise this department."
