    "content": "Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, a road could last up to 30 years or maybe more, depending on the usage. We are all aware that we have been overloading our roads. The drainage has been a big problem and it becomes very difficult. My Ministry is currently trying to enforce a ban on four axle trucks. Whenever you have those trucks on the road, the damage on the road is extremely high. I think it is upon us - and not just the Ministry - to ensure that we use the roads properly. Whenever we have water in contact with the tarmac or bitumen, the lifespan of that road is compromised. Whereas we agree that the specifications may not have been followed, it is also true that in terms of road usage, we have not been the best. However, my Ministry will do the best it can to ensure that when it comes to road construction, sufficient supervision is done to ensure that we get the best."
