I rise on a point of order to seek a Ministerial Statement from the Minister for Co-operative Development and Marketing on the following: (a) Whether he is aware that the licence for the third mobile company, Econet was given among the shareholders of the Farmers Co-operative Union? (b) Could he confirm what the current position in so far as the shares of the farmers are concerned in Econet is? (c) Could the Minister inform the nation the shareholding of the farmers and whether indeed, they have been taken into account as the company goes to roll out?"
