Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, the Motion as amended reads:- THAT, acknowledging the gallant and selfless efforts by the Mau Mau and other freedom fighters in the liberation of the country from the British Colonialists; further aware that these war veterans are in their sunset years and living in the most dehumanising conditions and absolute poverty; this House urges the Government to consider allocating a minimum of 2.5 acres of arable land and any additional humanitarian assistance to every authenticated freedom war veteran as a token of appreciation for their role in bringing Independence to Kenya.
