I am seeking a Ministerial Statement from the Minister for Regional Development Authorities with respect to the sale of Turkwel Power Project. In the Ministerial Statement, I would like the Minister to clarify the following. (a) How was KenGen, a private company, identified to be the buyer of the project. (b) What was the purchase price and how it was arrived at. (c) How have the local people, the Pokots, benefited especially after losing their grazing land and gold-mining areas along the 40 kilometre-stretch dam."
