"content": " Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I support that amendment. For those hon. Members who may not have understood, all it means is that, because of historical reasons, you may find that you already have a number of political parties which exist but their names resemble each other. I think the Mover gave the example of FORD(K) and FORD(P), NARC and NARC(K), and ODM and ODM(K). We are, therefore, adding this proviso, so that the Registrar of Political Parties does not refuse to register a political party just because its name is almost similar to that of another political party, for historical reasons. This means, that once the rules are approved, if you want to register a party with those initials, the Registrar of Political Parties may refuse to do so. If a party is already in existence, the Registrar shall register it."
