"content": " Mr. Speaker, Sir, I want to apologise for coming late. That was due to the fact that we are discussing the Ministry of Lands Budget, and we were looking at the issues that were raised by the hon. Members yesterday. That is why I have come late. Mr. Speaker, Sir, I beg to reply. (a) I am aware that most farmers in Trans Nzoia District lack title deeds to their farms, and are thus unable to access finance from the AFC and other financial institutions. (b) The number of parcels registered are 41,679, while the total number of title deeds issued are 33,438. (c) The Government embarked on a Rapid Results Initiative that resulted in the issuance of 58,688 title deeds countrywide last year. The process is still going on."
