(a) Yes, I am, indeed, aware that a foundation stone was laid on 9th March, 2007 by the former Minister for Science and Technology to establish the Bureti Technical Training Institute. However, the understanding was that the community was to construct the facilities, including the infrastructure. Then, the Ministry would do what it usually does, that is, provide teachers, technical advice and also assist in the registration of the school. (b) The Ministry, therefore, regrets that it has no immediate plans to commence the construction of Bureti Technical Institute because it was not in the plan that it would do so."
