"content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, the Assistant Minister said that 76 per cent of our power generation currently comes from KenGen and 16 per cent from the IPPs. I think the interest of Members, and the country as a whole, is to know; as compared to KenGen, what percentage of our power purchase bill goes to the IPPs. This is capacity. KenGen gives 76 per cent and the IPPs give 16 per cent. However, because at the end of the day the Kenyan consumer has to pay the bill, how much, in percentages, do we pay to the IPPs as opposed to KenGen?"
