    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, I am not aware of that assurance by the Investments Secretary. However, I am aware that the shares were issued in accordance with the prospectus which was made public. Members of the public who wanted to invest had to go as per the conditions established in the prospectus. With regard to the amount of money that is being charged in terms of interest, I know that it is only Equity Bank that decided to waive interest on the amount of money which was not allotted shares. All the other banks have charged interest on whatever loans they gave to members of the public. We, as a Ministry, are advising the other banks to follow the example of Equity Bank. However, we are not in a position to dictate to them."
