    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, I beg to give notice of the following Motion:- THAT, acknowledging the gallant and selfless efforts by the Mau Mau fighters in June 25, 2008 PARLIAMENTARY DEBATES 1393 the liberation of the country from the British colonialists; further aware that these war veterans are in their sunset years and living in the most dehumanizing conditions and absolute poverty; this House urges the Government to consider allocating a minimum of 2.5 acres of arable land and any additional humanitarian assistance to every authenticated Mau Mau veteran as a token of appreciation for their role in bringing Independence to Kenya. A BILL TO AMEND THE PARLIAMENTARY SERVICE COMMISSION ACT"
