(a) Yes, I am aware that Mr. Peter Derick Ejore Emathe was erroneously included in the Special Issue of the Kenya Gazette Notice No.1276 of 22nd February, 2008, as a nominated councillor for the Lodwar Municipal Council. (b) The Ministry is in the process of reconciling the list received from the ECK and will gazette the correct names as we cross-check with the various political parties. (c) The Ministry is in the process of reviewing the Local Government Act, CAP.265, and one of the areas to be addressed is the criteria that will strictly be used in the nomination of councillors."
