    "content": " Mr. Speaker, Sir, I beg to reply. (a) I am aware that most of the cattle dips in Maragwa are no longer operational. It should, however, be noted that the task of controlling ticks and management of common dips was handed over to the farmers and the private sector through a Government of Kenya policy decision in 1991. (b) However, the Ministry has developed the National Livestock Policy which was approved by the Cabinet in December, 2007 and will be presented to this House with a view to reviewing the same policy that is facing Maragwa; that is, the 1991 policy. But I still want to urge Members of Parliament to support the revival of cattle dips through the now improved Constituencies Development Fund and the Local Authorities Transfer Fund. Thank you."
