"content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, while thanking the Assistant Minister for answering the Question, I was just wondering what policy the Ministry has to continuously monitor the state of major roads in this country because it becomes extremely expensive when the roads are allowed to deteriorate after many years of neglect before the Ministry takes action. I have a case in point of June 10, 2008 PARLIAMENTARY DEBATES 1095 Road C18, Rodi-Kopany-Karungu Road. The road was tarmacked in 1996. Two years later, the road started peeling off. No repairs have been done to date. I wonder what policy the Ministry has in monitoring major roads in this country to ensure that they are continuously maintained and the country does not incur a lot of expenses in repairing them."
