Lastly, I want to confirm that plans are also under way to strengthen the Commission for Higher Education so as to enhance its oversight role and quality assurance mandate on tertiary education, especially at the university level. It is also important to report that the Ministry is currently co-ordinating the establishment of a national Technical, Industrial, Vocational and Training Authority that will be responsible for sector regulation and oversight with involvement of all stakeholders from both public and private sectors."
