"content": "Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir. This issue is becoming a little bit confusing. In my constituency, there is somewhere where there is a borehole, and across the road, 10 metres away, there is a power line. When the committee in charge of the borehole applied for power installation, they were asked to pay Kshs400,000. Last year, in a village called Nyanzani in Ndalani Location, power was connected from a nearby institution to a nearby market called Kisiiti. When the villagers applied for power installation, as much as power lines pass over the area, each one of them was asked to pay Kshs300,000 for connection. I would like to know why there is confusion in terms of quotations? If the cost of this installation is Kshs22,000, can this be made a standard policy so that if there is a power line passing over someone's home, he or she knows automatically that the cost of installation is Kshs22,000? All one needs to do is to have his or her home assessed and pay the Kshs22,000."
