    "content": " On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. Is it in order for the hon. Member of Parliament to say that there are a few people here who decide on prosecutions when it is known that the ultimate authority under Section 26 of the Constitution is the Attorney- General? I can assure this House that I have given firm instructions to the Commissioner of Police to carry out investigations, not selectively but comprehensively, throughout Kenya, so that the decision to prosecute can also be comprehensively made. Secondly, the mediation team has agreed on setting up a commission on post-election violence, which will be chaired by people of repute. I can only anticipate that, the commission will be investigating not only the perpetrators of violence but also the underlying causes, and will also be objective and come up, again comprehensively, with the perpetrators across the board. I can assure this House that when that happens, they will be prosecuted across the board."
