    "content": "Mr. Temporary Deputy Chairman, Sir, I beg to move:- THAT, Clause 40 of the Bill be amended- (a) by deleting the word \"Authority\" wherever it appears and substituting therefor the word \"Board\"; (b) in Subclause (7) by deleting the words \"one year\" and substituting therefor the words \"six months\". Mr. Temporary Deputy Chairman, Sir, part (a) of the amendment is obvious. Part (b) of the amendment arises from the Committee's feeling that the one year period given to hon. Members to decide whether to join the Constituencies Development Fund (CDF) National Management Committee is too long. So, we are giving them six months to decide whether to join the National Management Committee or to remain where they are. Otherwise, the Bill provides for one year, which we thought it is too long."
