    "content": "Mr. Temporary Deputy Chairman, Sir, after lengthy discussions with the Minister about this Clause, and the fundamental monumental impact of having a Chairman appointed by the President, the Committee said that it is going to interfere with the independence of the Central Bank of Kenya such that, if the Chairman is appointed by the President, then he is likely to favour those policies which the Executive may favour and, therefore, undermine the stability of the monetary policy. Therefore, we completely oppose, and support the deletion of that Clause."
