    "content": " Mr. Temporary Deputy Chairman, Sir, we are saying that the powers, privileges and immunities enjoyed by the police in investigating other criminal cases should be enjoyed by the KACC in investigating corruption and economic crimes cases. That is what we are saying. We are not saying, by any stretch of imagination, that just because they are enjoying similar powers, the KACC is, therefore, going to investigate murder cases and other types of criminal activities. We are just saying that the powers that are enjoyed by the police should also be enjoyed by the KACC. When we introduce this phraseology there, then we are actually defeating the very purpose of the entire section that we are putting into place. So, for all these reasons, I beg to oppose this amendment."
