They even ask for police protection when they are holding a demonstration. In that case, it was not a normal demonstration. It was actually an attack on people who had asked for permission to have a rally in Kisumu. It was not a demonstration. It was an attack! Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, in that particular case, eight police officers were injured, seven police vehicles were damaged, a police firearm, a Ceska pistol S3260 with 25 rounds of ammunition, was snatched from a police officer! What is my friend, Joe Khamisi, expecting the police to have done? They never directed the live ammunition to a particular individual. They were using it to scare the rioters away."
