Allow me also to urge the Minister for Justice and Constitutional Affairs to embrace the Departmental Committee on Administration of Justice and Legal Affairs as being of value to her Ministry. By the Standing Orders, the Departmental Committee on Administration of Justice and Legal Affairs is, among other things, mandated to exercise an oversight role in matters pertaining to the Constitution, administration of justice, police and prosecution. The Minister should learn to respect and work with the Committee."
