We have only one Environment Officer per district. He can do very little single handedly. I hope that when I gun for more money, next financial year, this House will support the Ministry. Today, we are losing a lot of soil to the Indian Ocean because people are farming right to the edge of rivers. When it rains, a lot of soil is washed down stream."
