    "content": "Thank you, Mr. Temporary Deputy Chairman, Sir. The Kenya National Audit Office is actually a revamped office of the Controller and Auditor-General. We would have thought that after the strengthening of that office, we would have sufficient officers to actually carry out auditing of all Government resources, especially at the district level and even county councils. It is a pity that some country councils have not had their accounts audited for several years and nobody seems to care. Yet, a lot of Government resources go to county councils and even Government offices at the districts. Could I have an assurance from the Minister concerned that, that office will be strengthened to look after the Government resources at the grassroots?"
