This was trust land under the County Council of Pokot and that is why Kshs19 million went to the county council. The area that was occupied by 847 households was given Kshs11 million. That amount did not just come out of the blue; a valuation was done and it was found that that was the equivalent of the activities that were taking place at that time. Under the grazing land which was under the county council, the council was given Kshs19 million for that purpose."
