    "content": "Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I think the hon. Member was, probably, not listening to what I was saying. I have said that 434 suspected criminals have been shot by police either when they were exchanging fire with the police or when they were carrying out carjackings and the police ambushed them. The law empowers the police to use reasonable force when necessary either to arrest, apprehend a criminal or to stop a criminal who is intent on killing innocent citizens. The police are empowered by Section 71(2) of the Constitution."
