But I would like it to be known and understood by everybody and every Kenyan that, although we are discussing this issue, there are some people who want to get some political mileage out of this issue. The Budget Committee is the one which is given the mandate to sanction the amount of money to be allocated to various Ministries. However, you will agree with me that there are some differences in the Budget Committee. I would request that, as we debate this matter, we put aside out political differences, concentrate and see how we are going to salvage this situation by making sure that we have allocated enough funds to cater for our primary and secondary school teachers.
