    "content": " Mr. Speaker, Sir, on behalf of the Minister for Water and Irrigation, I beg to reply. (a) The Government has undertaken 11 water projects in Teso District since the year 2003. (b) Private contractors were contracted to construct Malaba/Kocholia and Angurai Water Projects. The contractors included M/s Beo Agencies, M/s Joima Enterprises, M/s Yoga General Contractors, M/s Alakara Building Contractors, M/s Angurai Investments and M/s Machiri Limited. The rest of the projects were undertaken in-house by the Ministry through the National Water Conservation and Pipeline Corporation. (c) The total amount earmarked for water projects in Teso District was Kshs64,750,000. However, only Kshs55,603,000 was allocated and spent on these projects. Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir."
