"content": " Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I really wish to thank the Minister for giving me, at least, an opportunity to contribute. First, given that the crime rate in this country is increasing, and that the Mungiki are killing our people, what sense will we, as a House, have to be able to accept this kind of Motion. We want to send a strong message to the nation that the Ninth Parliament condemns any murderer, and any murderer must be murdered. That is the message that we need to send out from here! Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, after listening to the few supporters of the Motion, what they are actually talking about is the failure of the due process and the administration of justice in this country. The problem is not the death sentence per se . We want any person to feel that if he or she can murder any Kenyan, that man or woman must surely die. I oppose this Motion. Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I am sorry because Mr. Ahenda, being new to this House, I would have been inclined to support any Motion that he brings. But on this one, I strongly oppose."
